i had the same issue but i think i found a fix from Tiktok. if you go to the companion or web app and make a new squad which you set as active, then delete the old squad with the tactics on it should let you load the game up now. just tried it and it worked for me

It worked!! You're a legend... although it does NOT work if you copy the squad which makes me think it was custom tactics that caused it. Thank you so much

Maybe instead of dismissing customers and patronising them you should help in future... clearly wasn't my end but a bug as I said all along.
A week of no playing, lost all my loan players and far behind... where's my compensation lol
Since EA seem to be useless too... it looks as though this is caused by custom tactics.
I entered a code to copy some tactics and then after I couldn't get back into the game
yh it kinda sucks that we have to go to tiktok to find a fix or else you just get dismissed by EA employees telling you its your problem. Glad i could help
