Re: FC 25 pc refresh rate locked to 60hz

The .ini file for FC 25 can be found in %localappdata% instead of Documents folder.

Can’t find this file anywhere. moved from COD as that game was full of bugs. Seems like all game developers are useless especially in top level games, they only care about our money

  •  Its in a hidden folder,  you need to go into Folder Options and click on "View hidden files and folders".  Then you will be able to find the file in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\EA Sports FC 25

Yo you are a life saver, been trying to find the .ini for a whole week now to no avail, this is the only post which informs me where to look.

As every other year its been in the normal file not %localappdata%

    absolute legend

  • Hello guys,

I've tried many things to solve the problem where FC25 refresh rate is locked to 60hz, even by changing the rate in fcsetup.ini (I use a 165Hz monitor).

In fact, the game FC 25 doesn't support more than 144 Hz. So THAT'S EXPLAIN WHY THE GAME COULD BE LOCKED TO 60HZ.

So if your screen is using, for my exemple, 165Hz, it will not work.

You need to use personalized dispaly configuration in nVIDIA.

After that, just set 144Hz in the fcsetup.ini and reload your game.  (Remember, to access to that file, open a file explorer and navigate to : C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 25

I hope this will help a lot of you.

    Kind regards,
    Lyxxe
