Simulation mode or custom sliders not working, locked at classic game speed

Same issue here.

The game initially worked with Simulation sliders, but all of a sudden the game feels fast in all modes as if I were playing with Classic sliders.

Setting them to Custom and making massive changes (like setting Speed and Acceleration to 0) does not work either
