You can't approach to sign players with under 6 months left on their contract

Which mode has this happened in? Career Mode
Which part of the mode? Manager Career
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Occurs on PS5/Xbox Series/PC. Possibly also on all versions. Go to career mode, start a new save. Search players (23 years old or over) with less than a year left on their contract and simulate to January. When going to the Transfer overview page, there is no option to go into contract talks with them. You can only loan in or buy the player. Strangely, other clubs can sign them on pre contract agreements, and can sign your players on these too.
What happens when the bug occurs? There is no option to go into contract talks with players with 6 months or less on their contract. You can only loan in or buy the player.
What should be happening instead? An option to allow you to make a pre-contract agreement with the player for the next window (when their contract runs out).

    @BACONBAP25 This just happened to me as well on Career mode for Xbox X/S version. This was on the "Live" Career mode version for context. I just bought the game 2 days ago as well. Please address this issue.

    Hey folks,

    are you playing with an English team, perhaps? There could be some restrictions in play then.

    Could you otherwise provide a bit more information, what specific player you're having this issue with, and what age they are?

    Any additional screenshots or videos would be helpful as well.

    @EA_Vendcera I provided a screenshot, it shows Salah who is over 23 years old, I think he is over 30, and I play with the Real Madrid team.

    It is January 1st, 2025 on my first season. I sent all my scouts during the first 4 months to gather up first team quality players on their last year of contract. This is something I always do in FIFA games. You're supposed to have the option to sign a player who is 23 or older and has 6 months or less left on their contract. It has always been a feature of the game, as in real life.

    To my surprise, even though the game tells me I CAN approach a player for free, this option is not available in the club negotiation menu. I can approach to buy, loan, delegate to buy, loan, but not "Approach to Sign" as it was the case in previous games.

    I am playing Benfica in the Portuguese League. Pretty sure this bug happens in other leagues as well, as people already reported here. Attached an image and I can share my save game directly so you can reproduce the issue, I saved a backup on this game date.

    This is a critical feature of career mode. Should be fixed ASAP.
