"EA servers cannot process your action" after 5 red cards

An hour ago, I played a Rivals match, winning it 9-2. The opponent began carding their players, resulting in five red cards. The match ended in a forfeit. After a cutscene, the match should have ended in my victory, but I got the error "EA servers are unable to process your action. Please try again later." After re-entering the UT, I found out I had lost the match and was fined for quitting. It was a promotion match to the next division. My connection was stable, and there was no indication that the error was on my end. I'm attaching a clip of the entire incident.
