Game crashed within seconds of a match -Event Viewer log attached
Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out because I've hit a wall with a crashing issue on EA SPORTS FC 26 (PC version) and I'm hoping someone from the community or EA support can point me in the right direction.
The issue:
The game crashes to desktop with no error message, almost immediately after starting a match — sometimes within just a few seconds. This behavior has actually gotten progressively worse over time rather than better, despite extensive troubleshooting on my end.
My system:
- CPU: Intel Core i9-14900KF
- RAM: 96GB Kingston DDR5 @ 6000MT/s
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 UD AX (BIOS F9)
- OS: Windows 11 Home (26200)
- Playing on low graphics settings — this is not a hardware performance issue
Troubleshooting already completed:
- Reinstalled the game from scratch, twice
- Repaired/verified game files through the launcher
- Reinstalled and repaired EA AntiCheat / EasyAntiCheat separately
- Updated GPU drivers to the latest version
- Updated motherboard BIOS
- Enabled Secure Boot in BIOS (previously disabled, prompted by an in-game warning)
- Disabled XMP on RAM as a test
- Cleared Shader Cache and DirectX Shader Cache
- Cleared EA App cache
- Lowered all graphics settings to minimum and capped frame rate
- Ran the game as administrator and tried compatibility mode settings
- Disabled all overlays (Nvidia, Steam, Discord, MSI Afterburner/RTSS)
- Checked antivirus/Windows Defender exclusions
- Checked Windows Memory Integrity (Core Isolation/VBS) settings
What I found in Windows Event Viewer:
Right at the time of each crash, the System log records the following error (Event ID 7034, Source: Service Control Manager):
"The EAAntiCheatService service terminated unexpectedly."
This appears consistently tied to the crash timing, which suggests the root cause is on the anti-cheat service side rather than my system configuration or hardware.
Despite all of the steps above, the problem has not improved — if anything, crashes are now happening faster than when I first started troubleshooting.
Has anyone else run into this exact EAAntiCheatService crash, and if so, did you find a fix? I'd also appreciate it if an EA representative could take a look at this, since it seems like it may be a broader issue with the anti-cheat service rather than something an individual player can resolve on their end.
Thanks in advance for any help.
