Chest and Shoulder Pad Size

This is related to the physique thread, but you can actually lower the pad, and chest size, but it doesn't work. With the exception of players over 279lbs, when you lower the chest slider the chest and shoulder pads get bigger outward, and when you raise it, the chest gets a little smaller, but the pads get taller? Why is this happening? Why is chest size even a thing? Every player has a small chest, every single one. The players look nothing like and NFL or college player I have ever seen. This is so bad I don't even want to play the game. If you are going to have the players look like this, at least give me ability to edit them to look correctly.
