@Dshow27 It's been a long time since the defensive switch ended up on the player closest to the ball... it's the "best located" defender now... that doesn't necessarily mean the closest defender, but in a few cases it does.That said, the as the swtich algorithm changes, you'll find this tip indispensible on defense.
I used to expect the cursor to give me control of a particular player and would be ready to move the sticks with that player in mind. That's a disaster when the AI switches to a different guy.
When you need to switch...
- Switch earlier
- Get your bearing before performing an action
- Adjust your pursuit and switch to another defender

@MaddenUniversity So, we have to switch and wait then react? That doesn't seem efficient. Especially when you have one or more guys barreling down on the QB and you want to switch to one of them only to be on the defensive back. DB's are going down field, DL/LB are going up field. You're wanting to tackle QB, but instead you're now the CB and instead of the CB going down field, he's now going up field. Thus, WR wide open.
