Franchise - backups playing instead of starters

My offline franchise is not working properly. When I get to playoff games I am unable to use many of my starters. I have put in a lot of time into my franchise and for some reason the game is not working correctly. My starters are not hurt and are listed as starting on my depth chart. Would like to have someone help me figure out why this is happening. Thank you.
