Improve Immersion and add Expansion Franchises
Pretty self explanatory.
1) I've commented on this before but it's disappointing that I know who will win Super Bowl MVP if there's a defensive TD. I've had defensive linemen with no tackles with a 1 yard scoop and score win MVP instead of a running back with 150 yards and multiple TDs. I've had backup DBs and linebackers with 2 or 3 tackles win MVP because of a late pick six in a blowout instead of a receiver with 300 all purpose yards and 4 total TDs. Not sure why it automatically equates defensive TD to MVP but it gets tiring.
2) The presentation still leaves a lot to be desired. The "broadcast" is extremely vanilla, incorrect lines are used (how can a team in the super bowl be coming off a loss last week?), and it doesn't do anything to mimic the feel of watching a game on Sunday. Even the prime time games feel bland as there is no difference other than a new logo and the sky being dark instead of sunny.
3) The draft and super bowl are still bland. The draft is just a screen, with some static crowds in the back watching a big monitor, there's nothing that makes it feel special. The super bowl is the biggest sporting event in the world but feels like just another game other than the team entrances and the flyover.
4) Please allow us to do an expansion team. Even if it's with the pre-set team logos and names, I don't want to have to re-locate a franchise to play as a new one, let us be the 33rd team or even expand the league up to 40 teams. I'm pretty sure I know the reason for this, since EA's software wouldn't be able to handle extra teams because it would throw off scheduling or something like that. But this feature would allow for so much more customization and allow players to truly make the league their own. Expansion drafts were so fun back in the day and getting to build a team from the ground up and design our own jerseys. Even if the default logos and names stay in, it would be fun to play them as a brand new expansion franchise and not just a re-location of an already existing team.
Edit:
Another thing that just came to mind, can we please add in a special teams player of the week throughout the regular season or let specialists get consideration for super bowl MVP? Had a kick returner win MVP only because he was also a DB that had two interceptions in the game even though he scored 4 return TDs. The next year he had another 3 return TDs in the super bowl but didn't get MVP (another DB with 0 tackles and a pick six won it).
