Madden NFL 24 - Title Update - January 29th, 2024

Hey Madden Fans!

Welcome back to Gridiron Notes, the place where you will receive updates directly from our development team about what is included in the latest title update. We hope you all are as excited as we are for Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers! However, let's get started with what is included in today’s title update.

GRIDIRON NOTES

GAMEPLAY

  • Fixed a fatigue bug that was causing defensive linemen and linebackers to fatigue inappropriately.
    • DEV NOTE: This was an undesired artifact from the change that went into the previous Title Update for pass rushers who were outweighed by a 90 lbs or more pass pass blocker would fatigue more than expected when engaging in a block. This was intended to impact defenders who are not consistently designated pass rushers like Corners and Safeties. 

MADDEN ULTIMATE TEAM

  • Fixed an issue where all X-factors would reset at halftime.
  • Adjusted filter's fixed button functionality when upgrading a player item using an eligible upgrade token.
  • General Stability fixes.

SUPERSTAR MODE

  • Users can now equip boosters directly after purchasing from the “Featured Deals” screen.
  • General bug and stability fixes.

PRESENTATION

  • The Pro Bowl game is now the official home of the Madden NFL Head-to-Head skills competition in the Pro Bowl Games.
    • DEV NOTE: This coming Sunday, watch two AFC players compete against two NFC players in our revamped Pro Bowl game to earn their conference 3 points. Virtually, the game takes place at The Coliseum as a tribute to Coach Madden.

UI

  • Fixed an issue where game stats did not populate in the in-game pause menu in Online H2H.
  • Various player portrait updates.
  • Various stability updates.

ULTIMATE MADDEN BOWL PRESENTED BY LEXUS

Fourteen (14) of the best players are ready to face off in the MCS' crowning event: the Ultimate Madden Bowl Presented by Lexus. 

Qualifiers will compete for their share of a $1,000,000 USD prize pool and the first-ever MCS championship ring throughout four broadcast days. A champion will be crowned in Las Vegas on February 9 at the House of Blues. 

Catch the broadcasts for days 1-3 Tuesday, January 30 through Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 6:30pm EST on Twitch and YouTube. The finale will be on several channels, including EA’s Twitch and YouTube, on February 9 beginning at 9:30pm EST / 6:30pm PST. MCS Twitch drops will be available throughout the Madden Bowl broadcasts. See the updated MCS UT Drops Blog for more info.

    Nice new MUT cards! Now fix the damn depth chart problem in franchise mode. Absolutely ridiculous starters get subbed out instantly. Should be the simplest part of the game is the depth chart working in game. You guys are awful

    Everything you guys touch goes to crap, I like the idea of fatiguing DB’s but you guys broke the game more than it was already broken smh, hate to see people loose they jobs in this day and age but you need to fire everyone top to bottom and SPEND SOME OF THE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS YOU HAVE ON A NEW SPORTS SPECIFIC GAME ENGINE. Its been pathetic EA, now its just a shame a game with John maddens name on the cover can’t even get the basics of football correct.

    @EA_Kent Fix the core game issues! Have players line up where they supposed to, especially on defense. 3-4 defensive line doesn't have the RE out on the field. The "packages" changes players in positions all over the place. Lacking many animations and physics. What kind of third rate game are you trying to publish here? MUT is destroying this game company.

    Is there a way to fix the constant disconnection from the EA servers during online gameplay that doesn't require an ethernet connection? Never happened as consistently as it does with Madden 24. Play EA FC 24 on a Switch system and had Madden 22 on PS4 and those rarely disconnected where it seems Madden 24 on PS5/Xbox Series X constantly disconnects during online play.

    Are the uniform errors in PS4 version going to be sorted? Makes the game unplayable!! Not everyone can afford PS5, surely if you are releasing the game on PS4 it should be, at bare minimum, authentic to the source. How was this released with so many bugs? Either resolve or give me my money back - total joke!!

    I’ve been through 5-10 teams so far, every single one has errors. This is beyond disgraceful, forcing us to upgrade by releasing a massive * for PS4 users

    Since this last so called update user strip fumbles is way out of control. As usual these users don't try to play real football because in this game u can't. They all play madden ball finding the newest glitch and using it over & over. In the last 2 games I've lost 9 user strip fumbles it's ridiculous. I'm real close to never buying another madden ever. Then add in the other issues that have never been fixed like QB passing trajectory and ball speed too slow, Psychic DB's still in the game for like the past 15 years, O-lineman can't even block 200 pound safeties, I send an all out blitz and it takes the defense forever to get to the QB. But u rush 3 defenders against 5-6 blockers and they block shed and reach the QB in record time. Madden is so unrealistic how does the NFL give the okay to release this product every year???

    What needs done is us as a community to stop buying ALL EA games, not just EA sports titles. We also need to show them what we want by what we click on. Stop playing and watching MUT content and stop giving these thieves your money.

    @EA_Kent please fix the onside kick glitch it's really annoying that people are spamming that glitch. If coach madden were Alive he would be disappointed in how fake this game is  any type of realistic football is gone. Even the momentum bar holds you back from doing audibles and in real football you can still call audibles. Please get back to the core of what made madden a hit. Realistic football aspects. No one should be spamming the onside kicks
