Okay…6 (fixable) things (that EA won’t fix)
I’ve noticed a few things that could greatly use the attention of the EA devs.
1. There is a glitch that removes the audibles and kicking gauges during play. It’s only happened one time, so far, but it’s a big problem if you ever have to kick a game winner. Basically, sometime in the 4th quarter, I tried to audible, and none of the audible choices would come up on the screen. I assumed that was the only issue, but then decided to kick a game winner and realized I also had no kicking gauge. So, I called a time out and just went for it and ended up getting the touchdown, so I wasn’t mad, but that glitch needs to be fixed.
2. In owner franchise, we need to have a quality of life improvement for setting weekly goals. We shouldn’t have to go into the franchise staff screen just to change our weekly goals. If I press “triangle” at the main screen of the franchise, it will bring up a goals screen. A very useless goals screen that doesn’t even show goals. Completely empty for weekly goals and stuff. Come on now…that’s just lazy. Use that screen to allow us to change our goals more easily. Quality of life.
3. the draft screen is still terrible. What ever happened to the screen that allowed us to reorder the entire list based on whatever we are looking for? Why can’t we reorder or filter by scheme? Why do we need to open the player cards just to see how old they are? More quality of life improvements are needed here.
4. Finances in franchise is the same as it’s been for how many years now? It’s just laziness at this point. Same old boring screens. They need to be updated with better and more in-depth options.
5. The media questions haven’t changed in years. More laziness. They need to be updated and have more impact on the franchise than they do now.
6. We need the ability to sign position coaches. Why don’t we have something like NBA2K has? As an owner, you have to hire a GM, Assistant GM, CFO, Head Coach, Assistant coach, Trainer, etc. and What do we get in Madden? Head coach, offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator?
You’re all so far behind the curve on these things because your focus is always on MUT and doing as little as possible to make franchise lovers feel like you care about them. Madden has fallen so far from grace since the early 2000s.
