Please Stop Making This Game!

It has become clearly apparent that you guys don’t care about the quality of this game. Year after year we are ultimately left disappointed with the * poor product EA continues to claim is “improved” when compared to those that came before it. I sincerely hope that 2K making an NFL game will sink this franchise because I would give anything to see this company lose out on its little monopoly they’ve created for themselves. Slightly updated graphics, new roster, a few new things added to the game. It’s all lipstick on a pig. The animations, gameplay, all that MAKE the game, is absolutely atrocious. I would welcome a complete overhaul of the game but EA won’t do that because they don’t have to. As long as they push their little pay to win MUT mode, in a game that’s already $70 at the minimum, they will never change. I really used to love this game, the only video game that has stuck with me through the years is this one. I have seen the decline of this franchise since Madden 11. It is appalling that EA is this complacent with their little empire. I hope that Madden 25 part 2 is a thousand times better than this game that EA calls “finished”.

  • @EricRentrop I would LOVE to see 2k make the game... i've heard they are making an NFL arcade game. 2K would bring you endless customization options for franchise setting, creating a team, a real face editor.. overall a way better create a player mode. On top of this, Madden recycles the same presentation over and over again, players look terrible on the sidelines, no assistant coaches etc. ALL of which 2k delivers. Im sure it would take time to make great gameplay but as far as visuals and immersion 2k would make a great football sim game.

@xPats4Lifex 100% agree. I’m not much of an NBA 2K player, however I believe 2K does a much better job with their main sports franchise than EA cares to do. 2Ks NFL game is going to be an arcade style game however I’ve also seen that they are going to push the boundaries between arcade and simulation as much as they can. If 2K puts out a well received product, I believe the NFL would have a hard time ignoring that. Could possibly force either 1.) EA actually start giving a crap and put some more effort into the game or 2.) the NFL coming down and demanding a better product from EA and threatening to not renew exclusive licensing. Either way, I believe EA needs a kick in the * to make a better product.

  • Brother, I hope EA can play NBA games and break the monopoly of 2K, because the NBA2k is too bad. Haha, there's no way. This is the market

  • Man you got to chill first off you act like that ain't done crap to the game matter of fact just wrote to them about the rating of players but other than that issue ain't nothing wrong with this game I love every aspect of it and tbh if 2k takes over I hope they keep the game going good just to make you even more man quite frankly lots of people don't complain like you but just give things that need to be changed so once again you got a problem with the whole game then stop playing ain't no one forcing you to buy Madden with your own crub money.

@samecold1008 2K doesn’t have a monopoly on the NBA license though. EA is allowed to make NBA simulation games just like 2K but NBA Live is terrible that’s why 2K has a majority of the market share. EA has been inking exclusive licensing agreements with the NFL since the early 2000s when they realized 2K had a better NFL game on the market. 2K got their majority of the market by making a better game than their competitors. EA got it by throwing money at the NFL. Not the same

@queenskings27 if you enjoy the game, that’s your right. Not gonna argue with you about whether or not you should like it. Bottom line is this. EA HAD competition in this field in the early 2000s when 2K made NFL games. They did it better than EA did. EA threw a lot of money at the NFL to get exclusive rights to their assets and since then the quality of the Madden franchise has continued to decline. Trust me, if I could buy an NFL licensed alternative to this game, I would. But I CANT. EA has made it to where nobody can man. That’s the problem. There’s no competition and nothing to force their hand to improve the game because whether you think Madden is amazing or you think it’s bad, if you want to play an NFL licensed simulation football video game, Madden is your only option. I buy it every year in hopes that it will improve but I see the same issues every year. EA cares more about the profits than their consumer satisfaction. Why do you think they push MUT so heavy. First thing you see when you get to the main menu is some sort of advertisement about new MUT stuff.
