The NFL and its players union have agreed to a five-year extension with Electronic Arts to continue the Madden video game franchise, according to Darren Rovell of Action Network.

The deal will reportedly provide $1 billion to the NFL and $500 million to the players during this time, with another $500 million in marketing commitments.

According to Albert Breer of The MMQB, the deal will run through the 2025 season but can extend through 2026 if certain revenue thresholds are reached.

Madden was first created in 1989 and has been the exclusive NFL game since 2005.

    @spiatz64 yes, it has been released for both Play Store and App Store. I have Android and got it up and running. It does have some issues though.

    No its broken. Anybody in your league can advance,  clear cap and boot people without admin. From the app. This is a tot disaster.

    @knucklesdaclown well that "ghetto MUT twitter account" was correct about it being released. That account did not say it would be released with out flaws. But hey, keep on being stubborn for stubborn sake. It's a great look.

    The app being out is actually worse now. Anybody can wreck it your league. Unreal

    I updated the app and it still doesn't work. Smh EA. Fix the app

    Yeah looks like it’s not released in Europe/Germany yet or I’m just to dumb to find it still have the companion 23 app on my phone an I cannot update it.

    I had to delete the Madden 23 companion app and download the 24 app. When I would try to open the 24 app, it took me back to the 23 one. You might want to give that a try.

    yeah just tried that I cannot even find the 24 app in the apple AppStore so I’m just assuming that it has not been approved for Germany/Europe yet.
