This is in NO WAY what John Madden meant by "real football"
So let me get this straight...
Cornerbacks by rule have way better hands and ball skills than wide receivers? The crossing route is almost impossible to cover? Offensive lineman are so terrified of safetys that when one comes close to the line they all panic? Running the ball in the NFL is by far the easiest thing to do of all time? I played college football for 4 years at a prominent football school and I'm JUST NOW learning this? You're never too skilled to learn... Unless you're an EA developer. Have you people even read what your loyal, overpaying customers are saying? With a complete monopoly on NFL "siMuLAtiON" games, you have a responsibility to your consumers, the game of football and to your namesake, John Madden to do better. There is nothing realistic about this game. CBs win DPOTY every season in every online league because they get 25 picks per season. RBs getting 3,000 yard seasons. QBd that average 7-10 picks per season throwing 40 ints? Why don't you just stop the charades and start letting players body slam each other, punch each other in the face, catch on fire and call it NFL Blitz? People loved that game!!! Because they knew what they were getting. Why don't you go grab some NFL players and hang out with them while they play 10 games of random online H2H then ask them how realistic it is? Because that's what we're told we're buying every season. And it's been bad for years, but you guys totally ruined your sheets this year. What's that brown stuff in your bed? You're so concerned with making it easier to play that you made it to where people who know football EXTREMELY well can't figure it out. And they can't figure it out because it's drifted so far that it's not even recognizable as football. At least have the decency to take the name of one of the great ambassadors off of the game. If the NFL were smart, they would disassociate with EA like the NCAA did. The product your putting out doesn't match the label. What it called when you do that?
