Where are the referees in last gen (xbox one x)
I don't see ANY referees in my xbox one x version of the game. Did I just get ripped off? or is it just me? Are they only available in Next Gen only?

Almost certainly only a next gen feature.
I'm stuck on PS4 and I can tell you with certainty, none of the new updates (refs, superstar mode, relocation options/uniforms, franchise setting options, playbook formation/plays, etc.) are available on last gen consoles. Had I not planned on upgrading to PS5 which never worked out, I would have not pre-ordered at all at this point. Also just discovered the uniform combo options seem to bugged. Either that or it was a last minute hack job. They don't even have Saints black helmet available on M24. I need answers from these people at EA or I need my money back fr.
- @thejackyl618 I see the refs in the Series X version, side judge way down field, the guy who's deep in the secondary...
But one "bug" I do see (I think it's a bug, it may be a feature, who knows). If a penalty is called, the close up of the ref who switches on his speaker and tells the stadium/TV audience about the penalty is FACING AWAY FROM THE CAMERA, so you see him from behind. I thought that was odd and has no affect on game play (as opposed to the horrendous kicking bug), but wasn't sure if it was intentional or a bug.
