Hey @Caaaaarrrrllll
Thanks for confirming I might have missed seeing it in the dxdiag, can you check via the Nvidia app that Madden 25 is defaulted to run with the 3060?\
If you don't use the Nvidia app, you can try via Windows settings or with the steps in our guide here. (under "Create a gaming profile")
Hi @EA_Illium,
Interestingly, the Nvidia GeForce App does not recognize either Madden game I have downloaded. It does recognize other EA games I have. So I am unable to confirm there that the game is defaulted to run on the 3060.
I had made adjustments in the Nvidia Control Panel to run the game on the 3060 though.

Hi @EA_Illium - I should've worded that differently. I had previously added it to the Control Panel before reaching out on this forum. Issues still persisting. Thanks again for your help.

Hi @Caaaaarrrrllll, Thanks for the update and clarification! To confirm have you tried clean booting as well, or have you gotten issues similar to what @MasterOfQuackFu is getting? - 11 months ago
Hi @EA_Illium
I have clean booted several times, same issue. Immediate crash with "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" message.

Hey @Caaaaarrrrllll
To confirm a Clean Boot is separate from secure booting your device. If secure boot is not enabled on your device can you enable it and check if the DirectX error continues?

@EA_IlliumCorrect. I have clean booted.
I have run System File Checker, repaired game files, uninstalled and reinstalled the game file, cleared the EA App Cache. I've capped frame rate, adjusted visuals to lowest settings. I have secure booted. The Nvidia control panel is set to run this game on the RTX3060 card.
The issue persists, with this game only. - 11 months ago

I was having the same issue, came here and tried all of EA's suggestions to no avail.
I found a solution that worked for me. Zero crashes since
- Reset your Nvidia GPU to default settings in Nvidia Control Panel
- search graphics settings on your PC, add Madden 25 if it is not already in the list, and select your laptop main GPU as the GPU Preference
- google Microsoft visual C++ and download X64 and X86. It will say already downloaded, but i will fix any files that are corrupted
- Restart Computer
EA sucks and won't even respond because they don't have answers to their own games issues. Hopefully this works for you

Thank you! I’ll try this tomorrow.

Hey @dasilentsnipa , thank you so much for giving me something new to try. I have an AMD GPU, not Nvidia, but I reset those settings, and followed all the rest of your steps but unfortunately my game still crashed.

@MasterOfQuackFu Did you set driver as the main driver in AMD app or did you do it through graphics settings? I think this game has issues with telling a laptop which GPU to use. You can also try turning ambient occlusion off in-game if it's crashing after a game starts
. I also added an exception for the game files in windows defender and a 3rd party app i use for security. If the game crashes on startup, it might be windows defender shutting it down. Also clear steam cache and EA app cache if you haven't already.
I never had to do this but you could try setting the game as CPU priority for the game to high in task manager> details... sometimes EA anticheat takes over too quickly and won't let you do this but its worth a try
Last thing is opening the game priorities in steam > general > launch options> type (-dx12) in the launch options window
Godspeed
