madden 25 crashing when playing franchise mode

This game will not let me boot up superstar mode and when I'm playing in franchise mode it will crash repeatedly during games. If the game is running stable I would love to buy it but in its current state unless I can find a fix I imagine I will not be purchasing it. Any fixes so I can play the game without it crashing?

My PC is new and should be able to handle this game with ease.

    Hey Everyone, 

    Thanks for letting us know what you're running into with Madden 25. I wanted to check with this thread who might still be running into issues with crashing when attempting to play franchise mode on PC?

    If you are still crashing in Franchise mode, try the following steps if you have not already. 

    1. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
    2.  Repair the game files in the EA app. Go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
    3. Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
    4. Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.
    5. If there’s an option available, try capping your frame rate. You can also enable Vertical Sync (V-Sync), to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate.
    6. Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may be interfering with your game.

    If this continues let us know the following:

     

    • EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag):
    • Which platform are you on?
    • Are you getting an error message?
    • Does this happen when loading into a specific mode or performing an action in a mode?
    • If on PC, please share a DxDiag file and an EA app Error ID Number

    Thanks for reaching out to the community here on Answers HQ. 

    When you have a moment can we try the following?

    1. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates

    4. Troubleshoot your connection to EA games

    My madden Xbox one version keeps crashing. Tried on 2 different consoles.

    Same problem here on PS5. Happened with NCAA 25 as well now both are unplayable for me. Only games that crash on me.

    Okay after doing my own “testing” this is what I found so far. The crashes are ONLY linked to your EA account. Because I had my friend sign in with his gamertag along with his EA account on my console and Madden Xbox One digital copy of the game loads up no crashes at all. 

    I then used a second controller to sign in with my account on same console but it crashes once I hit RT to sign into my EA account. 

    I don’t want to unlink my EA ACCOUNT because I don’t want to lose progression from other games etc.

    Is there anyone that can report this higher up because it’s the same issue as last year?

    This is the same issue I am having, it's my EA account not thr app or game, did you find a solution????

    If you are on a console the issue might be slightly different than OP's. 

    Can you try the following steps based on your platform, if this continues let us know when the game seems to crash and how often, 

    Xbox

    Spoiler
    1. Make sure you have the latest software update.
    2. Perform a power cycle.
    3. Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
    4. Unplug any devices attached to the USB slot.
    5. Reinstall the game. If you're using an external hard drive, consider installing it on the internal drive to see if that helps.
    6. Troubleshoot your connection to EA games
    7. Open you're Xbox NAT Type
    8. Clear the MAC Address.
      • From the Xbox dashboard, click Settings, then go to All Settings.
      • Go to Network, then Network Settings.
      • Click Advanced Settings, then Alternate MAC address.
      • Select Clear, then restart your Xbox.

    PlayStation

    Spoiler
    1. Make sure you have the latest software update.
    2. Troubleshoot your connection to EA games
    3. Unplug any devices attached to the USB slot.
    4. Perform a power cycle.
      • Touch the power button on the front of the console for at least seven seconds until the system beeps twice.
      • Turn it back on after one minute.
      • Launch your game.
    5. Restore the license for the game.
      • Go to Settings on your PlayStation.
      • Click Account Management then Restore Licenses.
    6. Enter Safe Mode and Rebuild your PS database
