Pocket protector glitch

Summarize your bug When trying to use the mini game pocket protector with my rookie lineman, immediately when the drill starts, it says I’ve failed with 0 points. It worked season one with real life rookie lineman. Without fail it happens every time now. Training camp and in weekly strategy
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try pocket protector. Not sure if it is just with auto generated rookies or not.
What happens when the bug occurs? Drill ends immediately
What do you expect to see? Being able to play and complete the drill

    @jbarnes096 same but on PlayStation 5. Also idk if the developers maybe missed this little bit but, um, this mini game sucks a fat one. freakin pathetic video game

    I got this glitch all the time I got a new auto generated QB, switching to an IRL QB on the depth chart (doesn’t matter who) fixed it for me and I was able to do the drill

    It's strange because I don't _always_ have it with an auto-generated QB, but it does occur to me that it always happens whenever I draft a QB who ends up the day 1 starter, so I feel like that's a likely explanation. Time to pretend Teddy Bridgewater is my starter for at least the preseason...

    I am having the same issue. Its not every year though just some of the time. The Qb moves a little and then the drill ends 0 points.

    Is this going to get fixed? EVER? What do Madden developers do? They haven't changed the game, minus a few menu colors/fonts over the past decade. They don't fix glitches and bugs. Same stupid commentary from 2018. Do some work!

    Remember when you could upgrade your stadium, add things like luxury boxes and jumbotrons, and those would appear in your stadium? Those developers did work. EA is just lazy AF now, adding passing options no one GAF about and changing the menu looks. It's the same game it was in 2019. Pathetic product.

    On PC through Steam/EA and having the same issue. I haven't tried to replicate with what the others have said yet but feel like it may be true. I was able to play pocket protector in franchise early on when I had an IRL QB/players but a few years in with auto created and can't play. It looks like the timer up top starts with zero seconds and that is the issue.

    Madden developers can take the time to add the saquon Barkley reverse hurdle jump that nobody asked for but they can't fix the pocket protector bug

    Has anyone found a solution? 

    Never had this bug until year 3 of my current franchise, it has happened multiple weeks with multiple players...

    edit: what worked for me is swapping out the starting qb, I doubt anyone at EA actually reads this, but clearly the issue is certain qbs, I switched out a 2nd year auto generated qb with a pre existing qb(Minshew)
