Re: Freezing when attempting to play Training camp in MUT - PC

Can we try the following and check if you continue to notice the game freeze? 

  1. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
  2.  Repair the game files in the EA app. Go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
  3. Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
  4. Troubleshoot your connection to EA games
  5. Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.

  • hi @EA_Illium , doing steps 1-3 got me back to the point that I can enter the training camp again. For 4 or 5, the only games I play are EA games and I currently don't have any issues with the others.Ill continue to review that

    Here are some screen shots below to show that

    1) When I finish the training, I don't even get a star

    2) I only see one out of 5 drills

    3) Another to show that I can't get to scrimmage because of 2

    I also notice that it freezes with the store - exactly when that blue text box appears to explain things better to me.

    Once again, Franchise is fine

  • Here you go. No problems with Franchise. Tried Superstar and played a game.solo. Did an online quick play match and I was able to play ok, so is it something with my UT account? it just takes me straight to Training Camp. Is there a way to get pass that and see the other challenges?

    Hey @Eventualcrowd16 

    Apologies for the delay, checking the dxdiag I noticed a "radar preleak" message that is typically fixed with the below steps, some of which we've already tried. 

    But I don't see any issues that would cause this to only happen in an online mode with Ultimate Team and not another online mode. We've had some server maintenance since you shared the dxidag, I wanted to check if Madden still freezes at the same point.

    1. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
    2.  Repair the game files in the EA app. Go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
    3. Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
    4. Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.
    5. Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may be interfering with your game.
    6. Default your PC to the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
    7. If there’s an option available, try capping your frame rate. You can also enable Vertical Sync (V-Sync), to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate.
  • Hey @EA_Illium , nothing new other than having to enjoy Maddem25 in Franchise mode which is working just fine. I've been playing on PC since Madden19 and this one issue seems a little different since I can actually play the game just fine if I can get to it.

    Just a few things to go with the pics I posted.  

    1) I do have the same account name across xbox, steam, and my EA Playpro membership

    2) I downloaded the madden companion to see if something was wrong with my account. I sold off my gifted 80 OVR player and the auction worked there. Only thing I noticed is that the CJ Stroud set errors out for me in the Madden companion app as well

    3) I can't see anything in the store in the PC game

    4) I can see the catalog ok but can't get to auction house unless I find a player that is currently being auctioned in the catalog

    5) I complete a training game and don't get rewarded so I can't access any other event content

    6) I can typically back out of stuff but the freezing happens that box with the text comes up to explain things (like looking at the Training Camp set

  • Hey @EA_Illium , who do I contact to make sure my account isn't messed up. I claimed 2 twitch packs and my account is linked, and they haven't showed up in the madden companion app either. All I see is that set CJ Stroud that I cant claim since it was expired.

    Hey @Eventualcrowd16 

    To check your account you will want to reach out to our support. 

     

    1. Go to the EA Help homepage.
    2. Select Madden NFL 25 
    3. Select the "See all help topics"
    4. Select the option I'm looking for something I bought
    5. You should be able to choose from Chat or Email (options can vary)

    For the other issues you mentioned, if nothing is wrong with the account we might need to check after the teams next Tite Update (I don't have details on when that might be coming) but I can pass this on to the team to be aware of.

  • Thanks @EA_Illium .. ill probably wait for the update. Usually that first update solves most of my problems. If not, Ill contact someone. Its just so strange that I dont have problems with any other mode.

    Hey @Eventualcrowd16 

    Quick update, I wanted to confirm if you can currently get back to the original screen you shared in your first post? If so, can you hit the up-arrow key (or up on D-pad if you have a controller) and confirm if you can advance to a new message?

    If not, can you see if you can get to your lineup via My Team and try to follow the on-screen prompts to generate the best lineup? If it shows an up or down arrow again try using the up/down arrows on your keyboard to see if you can progress.

  • Hey @EA_Illium Thank you for sticking with my issue. The upper arrow worked and allowed me to get past the blue box popups. I was able to skip the tutorial and all my loyalty packs, sets, and twitch packs showed up and I could get to the store and everywhere else. I have to use the up arrow still but I believe I can do what I need to do now. Thanks Again!!
