Can't start online franchise

So I've come across a pretty annoying bug....

Whenever I try to create a Franchise League and choose the Roster File option so that the league can do a fantasy draft, the process crashes midway through the roster import. The furthest it's gotten is 69% (no bs). I've tried a few different things, like downloading a different roster in the Creation Center and loading it in before attempting again, all with the same result. I get a message that says I'm disconnected from the EA servers. The connection is fine though and I have no problems anywhere else with the servers except this process. Running a H2H match went smoothly besides the fact that I lost a close game. 

Now, in trying to figure out what's going on, I must have clicked through about 20 times because now I can't even get to the Roster Import screen because the game is telling me I'm a Commissioner of 20 leagues and I have to delete one to create another. And here is where I reached a dead end: There are no leagues listed in my "Current Franchises" list and nothing in my Franchises option in the "Load/Delete Files" menu of the Creation Center. *Sigh*

I've had Madden open for less than 2 hours and already have a headache. 

Anyone else come across this and/or have solutions that might save me from this void? PLEASE HELP ME!
