Team Builder teams in local quickplay?

Is it possible to use created teams from Team Builder in quickplay exhibition games?  If not, are there are any plans to add that functionality?

When I saw that Madden had brought back team creation features, I was really excited.  We have a tightknit fantasy league with custom names / designs / artwork for every team, and we were really excited to play local multiplayer with our unique teams.  We put together a couple teams in Team Builder, but we were really disappointed to find that Team Builder seems to only work with franchise mode.  The teams look amazing in franchise mode, so it's extra frustrating that they can only be used in that super-narrow context.  

This approach doesn't really make sense to me.  We weren't expecting to be able to use Team Builder for online play given the potential for overpowered or inappropriate teams.  But it feels really bad that we can't even use our teams for casual local multiplayer on the couch at home.  

Does anyone know if there's any way to use Team Builder teams for exhibition games?  Can anyone from EA comment on whether they plan to add that functionality in a future patch?  Thanks in advance.
