Why can’t I create more than one player in superstar mode

I have three kids who all want to play superstar mode.  Only problem they all want to be the qb.  But this new game does not allow you to have multiple superstars at one position.   And to make matters worse you cannot move a created player from NCAA football either if it’s the same position.  WHY???  Thank you EA sports for managing to create such stupid restriction in a game that is enjoyed by all three of my boys.
