It is absolutely ridiculous. Games are meant to be fun. Why can I not make a few teams and screw around / preview them for franchise mode in play now? The fact they allow TeamBuilder teams to be used in play now in College Football means they went out of their way to remove it for Madden.
I second this notion because this is garbage. I spent all this time building my team and customizing my uniforms only to find out that I can't use it in off-line solo mode because I don't like playing online. What if the Internet is not working during power outages or something? Plus, I am partially handicapped right now and I can't click the buttons as fast or efficient as I need to to play somebody online and be competitive.
