Please tell me there can be an update to the contract negotiations. From what I can see we have no ability to initiate any kind of negotiations. We have to wait for players to initiate. Just randomly...

Community ManagerThe contract system got a major overhaul in Madden 27 with the new Persona Engine, which is why those manual re-sign menus from previous years aren't there anymore. Now, contract negotiations are built around player personality DNA and pop up as dynamic weekly agenda scenarios when players actually want to talk extensions.
That said, I hear you on wanting more control over your roster, especially when you're staring down dozens of expiring deals and want to lock your guys up early. I'll pass along the feedback that the lack of a manual override option makes managing your cap feel a lot more restrictive this year.

Thank you for your reply. I understand the overhaul. But teams in the nfl still have the option of initiating contract talks with players and the players can deny or reject offers. The manual override would help. Being at the mercy of the player 100% takes away the freedom of the game and team options as well. I had to use the franchise tag on a kicker because there was never a contract talks initiated.
