Yeah, that’s exactly why I think Wear and Tear needs more player control.
It might be manageable at certain positions for a while, but at HB and QB you’re taking contact constantly, so the system can become way more punishing. If you’re eventually forced to rest players just to get that 40% recovery, it starts feeling less like a realistic management feature and more like something you’re fighting against every week.
I also agree that CPU teams need to be affected by the same system. If our players are slowing down, losing effectiveness, and accumulating wear while CPU players seem to perform at full strength for four quarters, that creates an unfair balance.
And the buffs/nerfs are another issue. If I’ve built the #1 defense in the league, I don’t want my DBs suddenly standing around leaving receivers completely uncovered just because the game wants to manufacture difficulty.
Keep Wear and Tear for the people who enjoy it, but give us an option to disable it and make sure the CPU follows the same rules.
