You do realize you can change it in settings right? The only time you have to use the new meter is online against other players.
Otherwise you can set it to use classic meter in all offline modes like franchise & quick play plus ultimate team solo challenges & solo seasons vs cpu & stuff
Against non cpu opponents aka online play it is mandatory & cannot be changed against human opponents. Good luck.
