PLEASE Improve Created Player Face Models in Madden Franchise Mode

Franchise Feedback: Please Fix Generated Rookie / Created Player Face Models

I know this is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone from the dev team sees this.

I wanted to bring up something that has been hurting Franchise Mode immersion for a long time: the face models for generated rookies and created players need to be fixed. I know I'm not the first person to say this, believe me.

Franchise is all about building a league over multiple seasons. Scouting players, drafting them, developing them, and watching them become the future stars of the NFL is one of the biggest reasons people keep coming back to the mode. But way too often, generated rookies look completely off. You’ll draft a 21-year-old quarterback, wide receiver, or defensive back, and the face model makes him look like a 60-year-old man who wandered into training camp. It looks ridiculous, and it pulls you right out of the experience.

I know it may seem like a cosmetic issue, but for Franchise players, it really matters. These generated players eventually become the entire league. They win awards, break records, become franchise quarterbacks, and carry long-term saves. When they look nothing like believable young NFL prospects, it makes the mode feel outdated and unfinished.

This should be addressed in a title update, not pushed off to another release. Madden Franchise players have been dealing with this for years, and it’s one of those issues that makes the mode feel less polished than it should. If College Football 27 has better face generation or more believable created-player appearances, then Madden should be able to use a similar system or share that technology. At the very least, generated rookies in Madden should look age-appropriate, athletic, and believable.

I’m posting this because I genuinely enjoy Franchise Mode and want it to feel more immersive. This is a long-standing issue that a lot of Franchise players notice, and it would go a long way if EA fixed it through an update. Hell, at this point, I'd be happy with an update that makes all rookie face cards the blank/black silhouette. That way I don't have to see their face as much.

    It doesn’t look like they fixed it this year. It’s quite disappointing. It’s a dealbreaker for me.

    i legit can name a franchise legend i’ve had for every single facescan in the game, legit all they need to do it make it like colledge football but i agree it’s make or break if they don’t fix this for franchise, im tired of editing every player because they have the same 4 facescans

    I agree 100%.  It's crazy to me that they added 32 new faces to Superstar mode and did not add any to Franchise mode which is clearly the most popular mode. Madden 27 seems to have a lot of great improvements, but I will never understand how there aren't more options for create-a-player/generated players. In 2026, it's inexcusable.

    They did it for CFB 2 years ago but can’t do it for madden. It’s crazy and inexcusable. Please EA do something here

    I agree. Easy fix. It would be good if we could sim 5 seasons and not see repeat faces. Whats that, 2k to 3k new faces? 

    Can't be that hard right?

    No, it's NOT that hard because THEY'VE DONE IT IN THREE GAMES NOW (CFB 25, 26, and 27)!! We know they have the capability! At the very least, the VERY LEAST, I just want a better procedural generation of faces. I don't need full create-a-player to be satisfied. But **bleep**, I mean 2k lets you completely edit every aspect of draft classes and it allows me to feel immersed when every current player has since retired!

    All they have to do is use the creation feature  from superstar mode and just expand it to franchise

    Quite frankly, it’s absolutely inexcusable that they haven’t updated this. NHL 26 has this as a feature in their franchise mode, and FC 26 has it in manager mode, along with every other major sports game with a franchise style mode. You could go back to madden 16 or 17 from previous generation consoles, and find a face preset that’s still in the game or very looks similar. This is already a feature in superstar mode. It’s a dealbreaker for me honestly, absolutely unacceptable.

    Doesnt look like they fixed it for M27. Complete deal killer for me also and a skip year until it is fixed.

    I agree 100% with the original post. The current rookie faces kill the franchise experience beyond the first season. The rookie faces look like something from PS2 and it destroys the experience to have a rookie you spent time scouting, drafting, developing, with a pixelated 60 year old face model starring at you every time you look at the adjustment lineup page for the next 10 seasons. This needs to be fixed before launch. Just copy and paste over the face models from CFB, PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
