I had the same issue since I have EA Play Pro and Game Pass Ultimate/PC Game pass. I was able to get into the trial though by doing the below, in order.
- Logged into the EA site and Unlinked my Xbox account.
- Went back to the EA app and clicked the 3 bars on the top left, help, and then App recovery.
- Signed out, and went to task manager and ended task for the EA app.
- Created a new EA account on the website with a secondary email and linked it to my Xbox account.
- Logged out of the xbox app and ended task in task manager.
- Go back to the xbox app, log in, click play on Madden 27, then logged into the new EA account when the log in popped up.
- Once in the EA account since Madden isn't there, I had to click download (Since its on my PC it hit 100% in about 3 seconds)
- I was able to get into the game but was getting an error saying the game was owned by another account or something to that effect and it kicked me out.
- Went back to the EA app and did the app recovery again, signed out, ended task in task manager,
- Then finally went back to the xbox app, click play, log into the new EA account again and I was able to get in and play without issues.
Since the new account does not have EA play pro on it and just affiliated with game pass ultimate/PC Game pass, It allowed me to start using the trial. In theory wonder if you can just cancel the EA play pro account for the weekend.... and have the same result.... But IDK
Will say this though. If you do this it will tell you that you cannot unlink the new account until like February or April of 2027 when you go to the EA website and attempt to unlink it. Though Im not sure it really even matters because I can log into my original EA account in the EA app and play all my other EA games right from there. Just checked and played Madden 26 without issues 10 minutes ago.
This is just my experience and what worked for me... not sure if I will run into any issues later... but so far so good, and I guess I will cross that bridge when I get there.
