MUT free Team pass unavailable

I can't access MUT at all. Anytime I try since the second season, I get stuck at the "select team pass" screen. I choose not to pay for the premium pass, but the free pass is not available and I'm stuck in a loop of trying to select a team and/or canceling my selection only to be taken back to the main screen. Therefor I can't play MUT.
