UPDATE 10/29/2026 — BBB COMPLAINT / EA SUPPORT RESPONSE / MAKE-RIGHT REQUEST
EA_Shepard and Madden NFL 27 Development Team,
I wanted to provide a final update regarding my experience with this issue.
The problem began October 22 and prevented me from participating in the Most Feared Trick or Treat CPU Event and earning limited-time rewards.
After numerous unsuccessful EA Support conversations, I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding the technical issue, lost progression opportunities, and lack of resolution.
Microsoft subsequently refunded my Madden NFL 27 purchase and revoked my game license. As a result, I can no longer access the game to verify whether the issue has been resolved for my account.
EA responded to my BBB complaint by directing me back to EA Help.
I followed those instructions and contacted EA Support again on October 29.
Despite explaining the history of the issue and requesting appropriate in-game compensation, the representative ultimately stated:
“Upon checking my resources here regarding your issue, there is nothing we can do further regarding your issue.”
I have since rejected EA’s BBB response because it did not address my request for a meaningful resolution.
My concern is no longer just whether the technical issue has been fixed. It is also how EA intends to address the limited-time progression opportunities affected players lost while the event was inaccessible.
Several other players have independently requested a make-right, and I continue to support that request.
I would genuinely like to return to Madden NFL 27, but I believe affected customers deserve more than another referral to the same support department.
EA, will someone with the authority to address this issue acknowledge the lost progression and provide an official response regarding make-right compensation?
I appreciate the other players who contributed information and helped document this issue.
