activate microphone for Madden NFL 20

    Hi there, @SocStat42.

    Are you guys in a party together? If so, when you look at the party, is there a message about not detecting a microphone or a problem in general? When it's working normally, you'll see your gamertag light up when sound is detected.

@SocStat42 I am happy to report that, after my friend and I go (unmuted) into a Party, we are now communicating through Xbox, but I am now getting a major echo: Whenever I speak into my microphone, I hear my exact words repeated to me through my headset within a moment or two. I gather that my friend does not hear this echo, but I hear this echo which disrupts my ability to communicate more than two words at a time. Is there some way to eliminate this echo?

I'm glad it's working! As far as the echo goes, what kind of headset are you using? If it has a mic monitor feature, try turning it off or lowering the volume. It's also possible your mic is picking up the sound coming from your headset. Turning down the chat volume may help.
