AHQ Madden NFL 19 Launch Event - Week 1 - MUT

Hello,

There are a lot of PC-Gamer, who are playing the first time since Madden08.

Here are a few tips for MUT when you start with Madden19:

- You want to get as fast as you can a high OVR of your Line-Up. But wait for a second. Madden19 has a lot of Milestones, a lot of them are completing themselves while you Play.

Others have Special Goals like "Win 20 Matches with an OVR < 70". If you push your Line-Up too fast, you have extra work later ( I saw it too late and had to create a low L-U and made low Solos again).

- If you doing Solo Challenges there are a lot very hard ones. DON'T use Restart if you fail atm! For the most challenges you have Time-outs. Atm there is a known bug, if you use Restart, you will not have any Time-outs in the next try. AND if you fail, go back back to the menu and start the again. Fails give you a few XP and Coins in the most cases. XP is MUT Level and MUT Level gives rewards.

- Save your low Players first. There are a lot of Sets, where you can trade them into high Players. Look in the Set section first.

Before You get past an 85 overall , using power ups are really key to a good team, the legend power ups are completely free by doing the solos and only cost around 250 training points to get to an 85 , also doing all of the campaign and rookie gauntlet challenges will get you to like an 80 or 82 overall with all the coins and rewards u get!

After playing Madden 19 MUT for the last week, I’ve got some tips for you to help start up your team and consistently improve it on a daily basis.

First off, when you start this year, I recommend doing the campaign challenges- throughout finishing through the 16 teams, you recieve a batch of NAT gold player fantasy packs of various positions to build your team- whilst as well rewarding you enough campaign tokens to complete a set which will reward you with a 87 ovr offensive / defensive player of your choice- (depending on which set you put them in.) Personally, I recommend LeSean McCoy, which is a solid player to start the year off with. Now, after you finish the first 16 teams, you get to play through the Super Bowl, to earn enough campaign tokens to reward you the opposite kind (offensive/defensive player.) With this pick, i recommend Kam Chancellor- a phenomenal SS.

After finishing Campaign, next I recommend doing the Rookie Gauntlet. All you need is 5 / 10 tokens from the 65 challenges to recieve a pick at a variety of 87 ovr rookies- whilst the challenges may be tedious, its very much worth the hard work needed to earn the player. If you don’t already have a solid QB, Baker Mayfield is the definite choice for your first 5 tokens. After recieving the last 5 tokens, you get another pick at the rookies.

Solo challenges aside, you should make it a priority to get the Daily Objectives out of the way. The easiest way I obtain them with is this-

1. Open a 500 coin “Get a Player Pack.”

2. If you don’t have two 66-69 ovr players, make sure to purchase them or try to obtain them and add them to the “Low Silver to High Silver Player Exchange” set.

3. Play 2 games- which could be challenges.

And there you go! Daily objectives done.

After completing them, you recieve a daily quicksell pack up to 100k coins.

Complete 25, and you recieve 2 MUT Master tokens, on the path to making Ryan Shazier 95 ovr.

Hopefully these instructions helped & can give you a kickstart to this years MUT. 

Madden 19 definetly took leaps and bounds in improving the game this year! It had been great with the way the game is setup and all the options his year. It feels organized and planned out, which seemed to always be an issue in MUT18. 

Some of the the best tips I have noticed to help other MUT players that seem to be overlooked a lot consist of using the AH, quicksell and investing in Training Points. Being a new system with quickselling training points, I see a lot of people not realizing the value for the cards. If your looking to maximize your training points then you want the best ratio of value. If an 88OVR for 100k gives you 1100 training points and a 90OVR going for 180k gives you 2200 training points, it may be wise to invest the extra coin to build up your stock. Just as well, 79 gold cards carry a higher value compared to 77 golds, yet you will almost always find them at the same price on the AH. I have found that, with the current market, you should look to get about 86 - 88 coins per training point. With a little quick and easy work, you can get the best value for your coins and training points. 

Another great tip, take the silvers, golds and even low elites you have that are NAT and put them in the exchange set to get an auctionable card with full training points value instead of the half penalty on the NAT’s!

Top tip for all new players to mut 19 

1.Dont burn up all your training points right away .play some solos grind them out and see what your strengths and weaknesses are on your team after you receive some rewards from solos.

2.If your playing online and get frustrated dont quit. Always take a step back breathe and relax .Have fun this game is meant to have fun . I know we all get competitive but dont let a loss ruin your day .you might just come back and be great against a different opponent .

3. Always keep your eye out on the auction house and market . Cards and there prices fluctuate all the time dont be hasty and impatient take your time and try to find the best value for your coins . If your struggling tk understand the auction house and how the market works there is so many EA Game changers that could help give you the info you need on youtube to really crush the competition in the auction house .

Whether you play online or solos it is always a great idea to use practice mode and skills trainer to learn the small adjustments you should make. A major mistake I notice is that players call deep routes on offense or the same play over and over on defense. Even against the CPU, it can be detrimental to simply call a play and run it. For example, even if you call a great slant play that will be the DBs, if the defense stacks the box the QB will most likely be sacked before he can get the ball out. Skills trainer teaches players to recognize what the other team is running and adjust to it. These small changes between the playcall and the snap can be the difference between a blowout win and a close game. Because Vick is so prevalent on H2H teams, it is important to know how to set up a spy or QB contain while on defense. Similarly, if a player has a great user MLB, like Ray Lewis, it’s crucial to find ways to counter that player. Maybe running a drag route or slant as bait to pull the user from the middle of the field. 

Practice mode is a great way to run a real-game situation, but you can customize it. I know my redzone game is weak, so I try to practice from the 5 yard line. You can pick your own offensive play, and either let the D pick it’s own or you can also pick what they run. I typically let it be random so I can practice reading their formation.   Then, when I play online, I have a play that I feel comfortable running.

First thing's first:

- DO PLAY THE GAME! I love building my team as I'm sure you do too, but players & packs cost coins and cash...Those same players can be earned by knocking out some solos.  Don't get caught up in the minutia when you first fire up your ultimate team.  Play the game have fun, and before you know it you'll have a nice little coin stack to start building with

- DON'T get 'Training Trigger Happy.'  Be mindful before you quick sell your card.  MUTHEAD is a valuable tool that should be used regularly.  They have a website and an app for IOS & Android.  Check your players prices before you quicksell them for training --- Without getting into too many details, you may want to run through and quicksell every low gold & silver in your binder for training points.  Do your research! You may have FIRE in your binder.  Check the auction house & MUTHEAD.  The market runs on supply and demand.  I sold a 73 Patrick DiMarco for 27k just last week!

- DO try all of the game modes.  This is the best way to know where you want to spend your time.  Some of us are in school, some of us have jobs, and some of us don't know exactly what we're doing at the moment, but regardless, everybody's time is valuable.  Find what you like to do best, and that's where you'll know where to concentrate your time.

- DON'T get discouraged.  If you're playing Head to Head and you can't seem to find a win, DON'T WORRY! Head to Head game modes are based off user skill & rating.  MUT is just testing how good you are at first so they can start matching you up against other players who have similar skill level's to yourself

- DO share your information with the NFL (Only if it's okay with you).  But by doing this you'll get enough tickets for 2-3 free entries into MUT Draft or Salary Cap mode.  This is free coins, players and trophies! Basically everything you need to start building your team and become a MUT MASTER!

-  And Finally DO PLAY SOLO BATTLES!  You're able to get some of the best rewards in MUT just by taking down the CPU!  If you want to finish top 100 you're going to have to play on Ultimate Difficulty, but there's great rewards no matter where you place or how many games you win.  Find your footing, and work your way up to giving the CPU a beat down! Oh and by the way, some of your favorite youtuber's & madden players will be your featured opponent every week.  Take them down for bonus points! And who know's, your MUT Team could get featured too!

Only play with/buy/select Vikings players. If you get a player that is not a Vikings player, don’t play them. The only reason you should play a non-Vikings player is if you have not yet found a Vikings player at that position. Don’t forget about former Vikings players! 

When beggining your Madden Ultimate Team, you may notice that you have a very low overall team and that the players from your favorite teams cost too many coins for you to currently afford. This can often times cause a new player to give up rather quickly on the game mode, however in Madden 19 it has become easier then ever to create an amazing team without spending any addition money on the game. By simply playing solo challenges, solo battles, weekend league, and seasons, you are able to receive free rewards which include packs, coins, trophies, and experience to level up! That satisfaction that comes from building your team through hard work is like no other experience. Good luck to all those who are first embarking in Madden 19 this year!
