This is not the worst bug by far--you can work around this (if you use an offline league) by saving your league before going into the scouting menu. The worst bug is if you try to select players from more than one position (for example, QB, WR, LE), only the last player in the list (in this case the LE) will actually be scouted. Effectively, you only can scout one player for Focus or Workout unless you select them all from the same position.

Thank you for these details and a recommended workaround by saving the game prior to scouting.
For those that are impacted by this we'll need some info to pass along to the team. If you can reply back with these details it's greatly appreciated.
- Gamertag/PSN ID/Origin ID
- Franchise type: Offline/Cloud/Both
- Franchise name if CFM
- Please describe the positions you tried to scout and what exactly happened
We'll get this pushed up to the team to be looked at, thank you!

offline franchise
option to select super focus scouting disappeared in Week 11. I do not have the option to select players to focus on at all. Just normal scouting

Hey, everyone.
Just want to verify one critical piece of info here. Is this happening to all new franchises created after the latest update?- 4 years ago
As far as I am concerned, this is indeed happening on every new franchise. I am yet to succesfully get focus scouting or private workouts to work for more than one player.
- 4 years ago@EA_Blueberry It is currently happening in all leagues 100% of the time for all users. I'm not sure why you need any more information..
EA simply did not give users the ability to go back and look at players once they open the focused scouting menu.
Once you go into the focus scouting menu you have to select your players blindly (without being able to look at their profiles) which makes users go back to the regular scouting menu to actually look at players first, but once you have backed out there is no going back in. Please fix this.....

Thank you for confirming, @TheNavoc
Would you be able to respond back with these details for us to pass along to the team?- 4 years ago
Sure, although I doubt there is much insight to be gained from this...
- My Origin ID is the one I am posting with
- Franchise Type: Offline
- Positions I tried/what happened: Tried scouting 3 players with different positions several times as well as only players with the same position. The outcome has always been that after advancing to the next week, out of the three players I chose the one who is projected to be drafted first has an additional 30% to scouting progress while the other two are at the same percentage value as before. The order in which I pick them does not appear to matter - if I select players #5,#6 and #3 in that order, only #3 will gain 30%.
That being said, I'm having a hard time imagining that any of this is that hard to reproduce. For example, there's a Madden youtuber by the name of Bengal - who also made a video about the scouting update which was actually sponsored by EA - and he's frequently uploading franchise rebuild videos. He appears to have the very same issue in every single one he did after the scouting update came out: One player gets updated, the others don't.

So this has been going on since October, and it still hasn't been fixed?! The heck are you guys working on over there?? If it actually ever does get fixed, will my friends and I be forced to start ANOTHER new league for the fix to take place?

Oh awesome, a new update today that still didn't address the issue. That's pretty awesome. Maybe some day it'll get a fix... or not

This has happened to me in multiple years.

Positions Broken: I’ve had the options disappear before scouting. So no positions there. I’ve also selected positions then only had a couple advance results: WR, RE, LE, ROLB, MLB, SS

I understand that as community manager part of your duty is to promote positivity and give the appearance that the game is less buggy and poorly assembled than it actually is. But, I do not understand how you compliment this persons post and thank them for a “work around” when all their post did is dismiss a very serious problem with the scouting feature as “not that bad,” deflect using a variation of whataboutism, and provide a work around that will not work for the a weave user because most of us play connected franchise (which does not allow you to make additional save points) because Madden has always heavily encouraged and incentivized the use of connected franchise over offline franchise.
this bug has ruined 2 franchise seasons for me… literally drained all the fun out of the scouting! And all EA had to do to fix it is remove the action from being a pop up that automatically disappears and give it a home in the player scouting menu. Then you can link the disappearing pop up to that menu (like it does when players return from injury and it links to the depth chart) the pop up may disappear, but the depth chart remains.
but we should instead delete our franchises, start from scratch with an offline franchise and make multiple save files each week before advancing or immediately after so that we can over complicate what should be a simple process. Yeah, when you think it through it isn’t much of a work around is it?
