Paired an Xbox one controller to the Xbox series x, it did an update and the wheel was gone. now all other controllers work now.

I just encountered the same issue. I have an amazon basics (off brand) xbox controller. However, I have tried a stock controller as well and no luck.
I am on PC and have uninstalled Origin, and Madden and tried moving them around to different drives with no luck.

Another note, I downloaded the Xbox Accessories App and it let me change my button mapping. I made it to where the two trigger inputs were swapped.
This caused the "Stall" when i want to snap the ball, to instead show the play art, and player stamina stats (as if i was holding down the Left trigger, instead of the Right trigger, which shows the X factors). (i did not do that in this clip though).
It seems that the error occurring is just a constant input of the right trigger. PLEASE HELP as the game is UNPLAYABLE.

Same issue. I can select everything pre play and then nothing works after, either defense or offense. Can't snap the ball on offense nor can I switch players on defense. Call a timeout and run into the same issue each time. Kickoffs are fine (can use A to kickoff), but nothing works after that. I thought maybe it was the controller, but COD and other games work fine. Frustrating!!!!!!!!
This says solved. I don't see a solution. I have both Madden 20 and 21 on Xbox and I can't play either because I can't hike the ball. Tried multiple controllers. Tried hard reset.
Hot garbage.
