Can I turn off the Super Sim?

I haven't played Madden in years because I could never figure out how to turn off the super sim and just figured it was not an option.  Now, I miss Madden but don't want it unless the super sim feature is optional.

If NFL fans tuned into their favorite team on game day but instead of seeing the action just saw the lines going across the screen, they'd likely turn the game off.  That's how it is for me.  I love watching football and if my rookie has to sit on the sidelines for the season, then so be it.  Or if my second string quarterback doesn't get to take the field except for field goals, so be it.  

I'd rather watch from the sidelines than watch that progression screen.  And more annoyingly, when the screen keeps showing the progression of the game then suddenly my quarterback is up to make a play (even first string quarterback after we've recovered a fumble or gotten an interception) and I'm left sitting there trying to figure out what down it is in which quarter and how far I have to drive the ball all while trying to choose the right play without being able to know which side the defense is cheating to or how much they are blitzing or a number of other things.

I get that people like the Super Sim and that's fine but I'm sure I'm not the only one that finds it super annoying instead.  I'd love to come back to Madden but not until I can disable Super Sim.
