Cannot upgrade players in Ultimate Team

Summarize your bug I am having issue upgrading a player. I have the purple trainer card and the Legends card, but it will not let me upgrade my player in Ultimate Team
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I am trying to level up. I have the card in my binder but it is not "reading" the card. I do not know how to fix this bug.
What happens when the bug occurs? I have the cards to upgrade (purple trainer) and new player card but it will not process the upgrade
What do you expect to see? Player upgraded to new level

I have two player cards in my binder. I have the legend card but then have also gotten the higher level cards, I cannot upgrade. I have the purple trainer cards but it still will not upgrade my players.
