Update on my issue:
It has now been 3 weeks since I have been unable to sign into EA servers.
I still have not received a second response from the EA Specialist since last emailing them on September 7th.
There has been an Content Update to the game and EA server maintenance since I was last contacted by EA. Neither have fixed my issue. I also tried the FIFA 16 Demo and was unable to get on the EA servers on that title as well.
As a longtime Madden player and regular buyer EA products I'm fully disappointed that an issue this severe has not been fixed.
Since there has been no transparency by EA on whether the issue is being worked on, I will be formally requesting a refund in the coming days.

I'm also having the same problem. I've contacted multiple EA advisors tried multiple different fixes and none have worked. I've run the UStrace to the EA server and the connection was so poor it seems like EA doesn't try to connect me at all. Whenever I explain my problem to them and how none of the "fixes" work they always refer to my internet connection as being weak, but that can't be the case at all being that I play GTA online, Destiny online and even NBA 2K15 online and none of those seems to ever have a problem... just the EA games. It sucks to have a mostly online game and not be able to get online AT ALL, while watching all of your friends play on all of the different online modes. This has been the same error I've been getting since the Madden 25 video game and each year I can never get online. I've had Madden 25, Madden 15, and now Madden 16 and have not a single time played ANY online modes. Never knowing what it's like to play a connected franchise game, nor any online head to head games, nor any Madden Ultimate Team games. Just the sucky and boring play now exhibitions and the ever too tired offline franchise mode. With all that being said, and considering the fact I'm constantly penalized by this same video game company each year, I feel I'm within all grounds to request a complete refund for my purchase of Madden 16 and would like to know how and where I could do this.

I am a month in and there still no word from EA on how to fix my issue of not being able to connect to the EA servers. I replied again to the Specialist team Sept. 18th and have not received any answer back yet.
I understand that there is nothing wrong with EA servers but there is something wrong with EA servers either failing to recognize that I am online or failing to recognize I have an origin account that is connected to my PlayStation 4 Online ID.
It can not be a Sony issue with my Online ID because if it was I would not be able to play other multiplayer titles. If it is a Sony issue they have a weird way of telling me not to play EA games anymore. It can not be a network issue as I tried my friends account on my console, on my network and it had no problems connecting online.
This needs to be addressed quickly.

I am not on a college or university campus. My network NAT type is 2 - Moderate. There is no restrictions on my network.
I have tried a friends profile on my console using my home network and my friends profile is able to connect to EA server correctly.
I am getting a feeling it has to do with my Origin profile, as I am not able to log into any EA title.
