CFM Contract Structure Bug

Product: Madden NFL 20
Platform:PC

What type of issue do you have? Exploit
Which mode has this happened in? Franchise Mode
Which part of the mode? Cloud
What is your Franchise League Name? DBML
Summarize your bug Has happened in multiple leagues, but if you resign a player during the season, and then edit the player in any way and "save changes" (even if you dont change anything), it will apply the contract to the current year and cause ur cap space to go negative. Not only does this happen to your own players, but if you "save changes" on any other persons player, it will cause the same effect.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Resign a player during the season, watch the current year cap before edit, and after you save changes on the edit, the current year cap will be whatever the new contract is, instead of it applying to the next year. The worst thing about this, is that you can do it to anybody in the league even if you dont have commish power, everybody has the ability to "edit and save changes" without actually making changes.
What happens when the bug occurs? it resets the contract structure, applying it to the current year instead of next year like it should. this happens for any player, not just resigned players, however it is most egregious on resigned players
What do you expect to see? contracts being properly applied regardless of ghost edits

Going to the edit screen, and saving changes even without changing anything, will completely restructure the contract for a player

    Summarize your bug I have edit my own roster file within the game. After several days of working with each team, it has put the Ravens into a -$700M cap space and will not allow me to do anything to change that. This changes back to normal when I use the roster in CFM, but not when I just upload the roster from the main menu and edit it that way.
    How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Trade and sign players while editing your own roster to see if it happens to other teams.
    What happens when the bug occurs? Shows an unrealistic cap penalty/space.
    What do you expect to see? A normal cap space.

    The Ravens have a -$740M cap room, while the other 31 teams have a regular, position cap room.

    Summarize your bug Final re-signing stage, owners are able to offer franchise tags that cost more than the team has in available cap space. This frequently results in teams starting the next off-season with significant negative cap space. Furthermore, because of how franchise tag contract is written, cutting that player only remove half of the cap impact.
    How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Build a team with very little remaining cap space 2. Franchise tag any player (ideally at an expensive position like QB) 3. Look at cap space in next year (will be deep into the negative)
    What happens when the bug occurs? Team ends up with massive negative cap space that is difficult/impossible to recover next year.
    What do you expect to see? Owners should be blocked from franchise tagging a player when they cannot afford the Franchise Tag contract.
