@jes19761011 why do you think this is cheating?
from my perspective, that is exactly what defensive coordinators (should) do in reality too. They look at the offense formation and select their play afterwards. A good player (or coach, in reality) will make some adjustments too (e.g. substituting players) which takes some time.
That's exactly the reason why the game mechanics stop the play clock (for a maximum of 15 seconds) to allow the player on defense to adjust / select a play depending on the offense formation (s)he sees on the field.
frankly, I'm really annoyed if my opponent uses the no-huddle offense all the time (which would avoid that the defense is able to react on what the offense does). just because it takes away the opportunity to adjust on defense and therefore the "chess factor" of football too.
I'd therefore guess that you face a good player (instead of a cheater) if you see this pattern. on the other hand, if your opponent would really just wait till the AI selects a play, in most cases it is a mediocre (or bad) guess. and I would not call that cheating either...
