Commentary Update Won't Download/Freezes

I'm been trying to download the new commentary updates in Madden 17 as I have a broadcasting background and am curious as to how they go about doing this in-game, however since preseason, the update will not download and sometimes freezes the game on the title screen and I have to close the application in the PS4's home menu.

Rosters and other updates download fine, this is the only one giving me issues. Any help would be great.

    Hey guys if anyone is having this issue with not being able to download the commentary update I have a solution. I literally just deleted the application data and reinstalled the game and it downloaded the commentary update when I started it up. I just did it right now and it worked.

    I just tried with a wired commotion and am getting the same result. Just sits there and does nothing. Next option please!

    Can you please post the following details:

    • Your country
    • Your ISP
    • Your router make and model
    • Your PSN ID
    • The time at which you last tried the download, please be as accurate as possible and include your timezone

    I'm going to try to see if there is an issue on our end with this.

    You are all on wired connections, PS4s and are otherwise unaffected so this might be on us.

    Let me see what I can find out and come back to you guys.

    • Your router make and model - It is an Arris router but I am not sure the model number.
    • Your PSN ID - hank0783
    • The time at which you last tried the download, please be as accurate as possible and include your timezone - 9:00 PM EST 10-12-2016

    EA_Barry-  Just to let you know, this is still an issue.  Haven't been able to download the Live Content (commentary) Update all season ☹️

    It just freezes forever as these guys have described.  I too have a wired connection and very fast/reliable router and ISP.  I even tried assigning static IP, opening all possible PSN ports, etc.  No success.

    I believe this may be an issue on your end.  Thanks!
