Connection to peer has been lost

Its been over a week and I haven't still be able to play online without lagging out on mut squads or head to head. Ea support doesn't help at all with this issue and there seems to be no fixes. I've tried already suggested troubleshooting steps and none of it has worked. This is the only game I have connection issues on. When I start up an online head to head or mut squads game I'll load into it normally then play about 1-2 minutes without no lag at all then just get a white message pop up on my screen saying "connection to peer has been lost" every single game. I know it's not my internet and has to be something with these madden servers that hasn't been fixed it yet.

    Hey, @Calico456 

    The Madden team released a title update today that should have made some performance and connectivity improvements. If you're still lagging out please let us know which platform you play the game on so we can do some quick troubleshooting to see if we can keep you in games and severely limit this from constantly happening from your end. I know getting removed from a game can be extremely irritating as I've had it happen to me, we're here to back you up if you need any help. Thanks for reaching out with the feedback!

    • Reduced the chances of encountering a disconnect from online games when transitioning into gameplay. Additional fixes remain under investigation for future title updates.
  • Hello,

    Every time I attempt to play Squads With 2 of my friends when I always drop.

    We have not been able to finish a game as yet.

    We are all from Australia, I have attempted to forward the ports on my router also to no avail.

    Please help is appreciated as this is ruining the entire game exp.

  • Haven't been able to play duo or standard squads with friends since day1

    The matchup initiates, but the page to play never loads. We've had to close application every time and reboot

    The only way I've managed to play any squad games is with all three computer-generated matchups, but even those were fraught with connectivity issues- even AFTER the title update of 20.08.2019. Lots of LAG!!!

    This is not a resolved issue!

    Details about franchise updates and all the superfluous game playing modes are irrelevant if the basic core game does not function!!

  • I have this exact problem aswell, im lucky to finish 1 in 10 squad matches. During the game white screen saying someone else is experiencing network issues randomly keeps popping up and then its usualy followed by connection to your peer has been lost most often in the 2nd or 3rd Q for me. The thing that makes me the angriest though is the fact that this is the only game i have any Lag or disconnection problems with. I litteraly don`t experience even slight Lag with 2k19 or COD. If this isnt fixed soon I'll be all set with picking up any madden game let alone religiously scooping it up every year

    1 out of 10 squad matches is very concerning. Have you tried any connection troubleshooting from your end to see if it would help fix it?

    It's very possible the current link to our servers is having a hiccup and just needs a quick reboot. If we need to dive deeper with port forwarding we can provide some more information on that (some routers may have ports closed off by default or by firmware updates), but there are some basic steps below that help out most of our players. We'll continue to relay info to the team about the experiences our players are having with our servers and be sure to fill out the post-game connection surveys when they pop up.

    I know this stuff is super frustrating to deal with, let's work together on it. Keep me updated on whether these steps help and which platform you play on. 👍
