I dont know if its me or the game but I can not stop a pass play against the CPU. Every Game the have about a 90% completion percentage and score just about every drive! I fixed the sliders and everything i just want to enjoy this game like all the other games but with my defense not being able to stop a pass its very stressful

I have the same issue. I play on the Madden level in Franchise mode. The CPU is unstoppable on offense. I am very disappointed in Madden 21. They killed the pass rush. They killed the defense. Ugh...

@EA_BlueberryI think one of the larger issues, within Madden, is the exploit plays and routes. Sure, we can adjust the defense and change the coverage or put extra players into coverage, but in the end, I think everyone would like to be able to call man coverage, shade the defenders to the inside and actually be able to stop a slant route. Sadly, that just doesn't happen. It doesn't matter what is done. The cornerback could be 99 OVR, against a 70 OVR receiver and they will get beat on a slant every single time. Same goes for drag and crossing patterns. It seems to be a going theme, with most Madden titles. Broken routes, that are just uncoverable, unless you send a lineman back into middle zone. Then that takes away from pass rush. There's just no winning. It would be nice to see players cover the way they are supposed to. If I shade inside, that mean the corner should be looking for a slant, which means they can be beat with an out or post corner. It used to work and be kinda cool, but on this particular Madden, it just doesn't work. It's a broken mechanic.Zone coverage is no better, though. Defenders don't cover some of the zones properly. Take Cover 2, for example. The cornerbacks are supposed to be defending the flat zone, but they really don't. If you send a crossing route, to that side of the field, it will pull that corner into deep coverage and off of the flat route. (another exploit) It's just broken and it happens with multiple zone styles. As I said, above, it seems like pass coverage is too broken, in this year's Madden.

They killed the defense. Ugh... If you are playing on All-Madden I can only advise to turn down the difficulty. Without any video footage it's tough for us to really determine what's happening in game, whether it's a skill gap or viable counters to pass plays being selected on defense.

Everything people are posting and asking about is actually happening, so please just play the game and you will know.

@rweiss13 Of course I play the game, I was also a top player on the leaderboards a while back. 🙂

We have a little more than 2 handful of people out of thousands that play this game that claim the CPU is unstoppable. It's hard to gauge what their skill level is off of text, so getting some video footage to see what defense formations they're setting up can be helpful to understand where they're coming from. Does the CPU complete more passes on a higher difficulty? Of course! Will they score more touchdowns because of continued drives? Of course? Are they unstoppable. The answer is no, of course. This is purely an opinion based post and either the difficulty needs to be turned down, or we need some more specific examples of where they feel the CPU is unstoppable to determine if adjustments need to be made to certain formations when they line up.

I think the videos can help us determine what the actual issue is at hand because there are so many moving parts that happen on the field it's just not a "simple fix." I've also seen plenty of videos over the years where players claim a defense is flawed yet they are using the linebacker out of coverage and there is an obvious skill gap where they need more practice rather than the development team fine tuning the game for meta complaints when players are playing at lower skill levels. This is where a video can be encouraging to give advice on what to do instead and crowdsource recommendations from the community on how to counter certain plays.
