You get to build a team using cards of current and past NFL stars. Cards have ratings based on player attributes. The better the attributes, the better the ratings. Cards can also be upgraded using whats called training points (TP). In this mode, you will have aoptions to play solo or to play against other players on-line.
FRANCHISE:
Franchise mode allows you to either join or create a league. League can just be you alone, or up to 31 other players to control the NFL teams. In this mode you choose to run a team. You get to draft players, sign players, upgrade players and sign players through free agency. Each team plays a full NFL season including the Super Bowl...and then you're on to the next season. As the seasons progress, the players age. They get better each season until they get older, then some ratings drop noticebly. Also, your best player may decide to leave you and join another team.
EXHIBITION:
This is where you go to play against freinds or play on-line or practice.
