Attached is my example (kicking a FG to expire the half is one a can reproduce every time). It seems that if a play continues past the clock reaching :00 in the 2nd quarter that ends the possession for the User team, the half will end with the conclusion of the play to the CPU team at start of 3rd quarter (e.g. 1. kick-off to CPU team no matter if User team has ball in second half... or 2. on turnover, CPU team gets ball at the spot the ball was turned over at start of 3rd quarter. No kickoff happens.)
