Summarize your bug When attempting to adjust almost any position in the Formation Subs screen the icon will either revert me back to the formation select or it will lock on the QB, Punter, Kicker, etc. I am almost entirely unable to make any formation subs. The issue persists in every formation, both offense and defense, as well as special teams under each header. The patch on August 28th was downloaded and it still did not help. I tried a completely fresh install and that still has not helped. I also tried a Connected Franchise and had the same issue.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Load a franchise, go to the screen where you would adjust formation subs, try to switch out several players. You will get locked up every time.
What happens when the bug occurs? Every single time I try to adjust formation subs.
What do you expect to see? I expect the feature to work as it has in year's past. I expect to be able to switch players in based upon formation from the Franchise menu screen.

Any update on this issue? Seems to be a very common problem and I still had the same issue playing on PS4
It looks like this is NOT going to be addressed in the next update (scheduled for Sept 10th).
I am genuinely disgusted with the lack of support to fix errors in Franchise Mode.
Having the same issue on PS4. Never had this problem in the past and would not have purchased Madden 21 if I had known it wouldn't work.
I noticed there some kind of update for Madden on my PC. Just tested and formations subs still do not work for me. I haven't been able to test my PS4 as I am out of town. Please tell me this will be taken care of in the big update next week as it is causing issues for me in my connected franchise.
It's embarrassing but it appears EA is simply ignoring this bug that is a Franchise Mode killer for a community who was already MAD! Not only that, it wasn't even something addressed for the upcoming 9/10 patch nor the first Franchise Mode fixes (which will not get here until November).
Same for me and our connected franchise on PS4. Subs do not work after TU
