Hey, all.
Thank you for reporting this to us. Can you try a power cycle to see if that helps, if not I have some additional steps below we'll want to go over first before diving into advanced troubleshooting.
Can you let me know if you see any improvement if you remove the Gen4 version from your console and unplug all USB devices hooked up to your console if you have any?
If you have the game installed to an external hard drive, do you see any difference if you re-install to the main Xbox storage?
How to power cycle your Xbox console:
- Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
- Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
- Plug the console power cable back in.
- Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.
I’ve done all this and the problem still persists. I have the digital version of the game installed directly to the console’s internal HD with no other devices plugged in.

@mikejs210 Thank you for confirming you've tried the steps. We'll let them know we're seeing this behavior.- 5 years ago
Any update on this? A patch was released on 12/17 but it didn’t resolve this issue.
Dropped frames on Madden 21 XSX and dropped frames on FIFA 21 PS5. The only sports game I’m not having issues with is one that’s not an EA game.

I have the same issue and have since the next gen version launched. It’s a disaster and EA should be ashamed (not likely) to spend all this time talking about the “power” of the new systems he used yet only add a small graphics upgrade and “next gen stats” but then has frame rate drops like this. Give me a break EA you’re so full of it
