Frame Pacing Issues on PC

Above 60 fps do you see screen tearing as well or 'just' frame pacing issues?

What resolution are you playing at?

What video connection are you using, HDMI/Displayport etc.?

What version is your connection? (they have different bandwidth capabilities)

I have a similar problem to this as well on a GTX 1080. Oddly it completely goes away if I disable ALL sound drivers. Of course, this leaves me without sound which is a major bummer. It makes me think some of the performance issues are tied to the sound but I have no idea how to actually fix them.

EDIT: Actually my issue is a little different because the stutter exists whether or not I lock to 60fps.

Thanks for the reply.  I am running at 3440 x 1440p via Display Port -  as mentioned have no issues with other EA games including FIFA and BF1, Battlegrounds 2 etc.  It does seem to be Madden-specific.  If you are referring to my internet connection speed, I get about 100/40 speeds and don’t have lag issues.  The stuttering occurs in offline modes anyway. 

I am not experiencing any screen tearing either with GSync on or off and similarly with VSync on or off makes no difference.  So yes, it does seem to be just frame pacing issues.  My frame counter does still read between 100-120 fps even when the stuttering is occurring.  I’ve tried both DX 11 and 12 also, and this makes no difference.  However will try to post my Dxdiag results when I get home. 

Noting the below post from Zimbomonkey, is it possible this is audio-related?  I will have to try turning off audio and see if that impacts, at least for troubleshooting purposes as it’s obviously not an ideal solution.

Unfortunately no, nothing on that page helps. Most of those boxes were already checked as it was.

Here's a DXdiag of mine, for reference. Also I was wrong about the sound affecting it, I think I was just seeing what I want to see. Nothing I can seem to do eliminates the random stutters.

Can you run your video driver setup again but this time choose custom install and then deselect the optional 3D and GeForce Experience components. Also, check the box for Clean Install, complete the setup and then perform a clean boot before retrying please.

Can you set your display refresh rate to 60Hz and retry please?

Via the NVIDIA Control Panel, in the Display resolution section, set the Refresh rate to 60Hz, click Apply and retry. A clean boot as above also cannot hurt.

Same problem exists. Additionally now Madden refuses to recognize keyboard input, but I use a controller so that doesn't really bother me.

I can give this a try when I get home- but isn’t this at cross purposes to what I’m trying to achieve? I have a 120hz monitor and get 100-120fps normally. Setting my monitor to 60hz refresh is just going to lock my FPS to 60 as well isn’t it? To reiterate, I have no issues running Madden at 60fps locked. I am still unable to run it higher than this without issues - and that’s why I bought it for PC and not console this year.
