I get error code CE-108255-1, and I have nothing plugged into my PS5's USB slots. While that is a common error code Madden 22 is the only application on my PS5 that crashes.

I've seen this error pop up when there are over 100 friends on someone's PSN list. After clearing out all the friends it's fixed it for some players.
Also, do you have a custom uploaded profile image for your PSN ID? Custom avatars have caused strange technical issues for some of our games.
If you have facial recognition enabled on your PlayStation try disabling it under the Settings (even if you don't use it, PlayStation articles online mention disabling that can help).
Have you tried the official steps from PlayStation's website regarding that error code?

I don't have that many friends on there and I have ps avatar that is providing when you first register. All my games can be played online including other EA games just not madden.

Have you tried the steps I posted above?I was just over 100 friends on playstation network and removing some until I was under 100 seems to have fixed the problem. I have since played 4 franchise games and none have crashed after completing them where in the past they definitely would have. Thank you so much for your help!

I tried everything but I didn't want to remove any of the friends I had. I don't have over 100. I got around 50 and usually play with them. But I will check here in a little bit.
