Game calling timeouts by itself

Hi @Dom_the_Great1, 

Do you have any other USB input devices connected to your PC besides your controller, mouse, and keyboard? If so, can you try disconnecting them to see if that helps at all? I saw a similar report recently, and in that case the game was reading inputs from a different controller that was connected to the PC.

The only inputs i have connected are my keyboard, mouse and controller.  I am using the Xbox One controller with the USB wireless adapter.  I have tries uninstalling the USB adapter and reinstalling drivers and nothing seems to work.  It now even happens in franchise mode.  Where it never used to happen.

Is there a way to try connecting the controller with a USB cable instead of the wireless adapter to test and see if the same issue still happens? I'm curious if it keeps happening that way as well.

Same problem here.  I am legit on like 3 hours left of my trial and I've spent LITERALLY EVERY  hour of this besides one game where I just had to play dodging the fact I can't use time outs and had to take a delay of game after every paly after it would attempt to auto spike. 

Same troubleshooting.   Disconnected all other HID devices including the controller and tried to just play on keybaord and mouse. 

got the exact same symptoms.

I am a network engineer by trade so I went through the basic trouble shooting and such including antivirus exceptions etc.  

Its VERY weird.  I have TONS of other games and this is the only other game that is affected.  I had the same issue however happen to madden 20 when I tried to go back to it a few months ago before this all started on 21 as well.  Uninstalled all of them,  even went as far as to get EA play on Steam to try it that route. 

OF course it links to origin anyways but,  either way,  worth it to mention.

I am furious already how I'm a madden gamer since like mid 90's and somehow I wasn't given a free copy of the game however it seems everyone else in the world was.  

I'm certainly not going to pay for it at this point.. hell i can't even get it to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

(I'm on a damn near super computer too by gaming pc standards)  

@Recon-RyanFirst symptom was it would automatically throw the ball to X receiver. I've seen it to whree the players look like they are hitting hit stick (stumbling repeatedly) and most recently time outs auto called at the end of every play as well and when they are gone, it defaults to auto spiking the ball after anything other than an incompleted pass or going out of bounds.

Game automatically calls timeout after every play. After im out of timeouts the game decides that a no huddle spike will do. Cant return kicks because my selected player will decide to automatically throw blocks. Sometimes cant see play art. Some time HDR turns on messing up the game brightness completely. Sometimes the game pretends my GPU doesn't exists and runs at 12fps

By the way. Why did my game literally forget where its installed? I ran the program and it started downloading something and I got an error stating the game needed repaired. so iwent to repair it and it automatically downloads THE ENTIRE GAMe to my C drive with like 10gbs of space. I went to my other drive where its located and found the folder and all the files where they should be lmao. In 25 years of windows computing ive never seen a program forget its even installed. incredible.

Origin is an absolute travesty of software. Once again the origin cant find the game. Now its stuck in a crash loop. well done EA. Im not renewing my EA play subscription. Absolute waste of time and money.
